Hidden away between Soho and Chinatown, you'll find The Blue Posts, where Londoners have been drinking for nearly 300 years. As custodians of this unique building, our ambition is simple: exceptional hospitality, outstanding drinks, and a pub that feels as relevant and exciting today as it did centuries ago.

We are looking for an exceptional Pub Manager to lead The Blue Posts. This historic, lively Soho pub is known for British craft beers and welcoming, energetic hospitality. We are looking for a warm and spirited hospitality professional for this rare opportunity to take ownership of a celebrated Soho institution, leading a talented team whilst working closely with the Directors and General Manager to shape the future of the business.

You’ll be:

  • A natural host. Warm, engaging and confident, you'll set the tone for hospitality throughout the building. Whether welcoming regulars at the bar, hosting guests waiting for a table at Evelyn's Table or leading a busy Friday night service, you'll make people feel genuinely looked after.
  • An inspiring leader. You'll lead and develop a bar team that works across The Blue Posts and supports service in The Mulwray upstairs. You'll recruit, coach and mentor your team, creating a culture of accountability, professionalism and genuine hospitality whilst helping talented people progress in their careers.
  • Commercially minded. You'll understand that great hospitality and strong financial performance go hand in hand. You'll be confident managing stock, cellar operations, labour, GP and cost controls, identifying opportunities to grow revenue, improve efficiency and maximise profitability without compromising guest experience.
  • A drinks professional. You'll have strong experience across beer, wine and drinks with a genuine passion for London's drinks scene. Beer and cellar management experience is essential. You'll take pride in sourcing and showcasing exceptional products whilst building strong relationships with suppliers and industry partners.
  • Operationally excellent. You'll ensure the highest standards of compliance, health & safety, cleanliness and organisation throughout the business. You'll be comfortable managing orders, stock takes, training records, maintenance issues and weekly business rhythms, whilst continually looking for ways to improve how we operate.
  • A future business leader. This role offers significant opportunity for growth. Our previous Manager progressed into the Assistant General Manager role for the entire building. You'll work closely with the Directors and senior leadership team, contributing ideas, projects and initiatives that help shape the future direction of The Blue Posts.

What we’re looking for:

  • At least two years’ experience as a Bar Manager or in a comparable leadership role.
  • Excellent beer knowledge and cellar management experience.
  • Proven experience leading, developing and motivating teams within premium hospitality environments.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality, drinks and guest experience.
  • Experience using SevenRooms, Rotaready, Food Alert, Jelly or similar systems.

What you’ll get:

  • Performance‑related bonus scheme.
  • Significant progression opportunities within Studio Paskin.
  • Up to £2,000 Employee Referral Scheme.
  • Paid development courses including WSET, Watershed and more.
  • Generous staff discount of up to 50% across all Studio Paskin venues.
  • Cost‑price wine and supplier discounts.
  • Enhanced parental leave package.
  • Partnership with Kelly's Cause and automatic enrolment onto Hospitality Action's Employee Assistance Programme, including counselling, remote GP and physio services, legal advice and more.

If you’re an ambitious hospitality leader looking for the opportunity to run one of Soho’s most distinctive pubs and play a key role within a business known for exceptional food, drink and hospitality, we’d love to hear from you.
