In this role, you’ll be responsible for transporting donations between our shops, ensuring everything arrives safely and on time. You’ll also support our shops by helping to maintain smooth operations and be the friendly face of Blue Cross. Your interactions with shop teams and customers will spread the word about our mission and make a positive impact in our community.
We’re looking for a volunteer with a full UK driving licence and access to your own car or van. You should be physically fit to lift and carry donations, including heavier items, and navigate stairs when necessary. Adaptability and flexibility are key, as you’ll need to move items promptly as required. Excellent verbal communication skills are essential for effective interactions with shop teams and the public. You should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

What you will be doing:
- Delivering donations, making sure donations are where they need to be!
- Transporting items between our shops, making sure they arrive safely.
- Supporting our shops and helping to keep things running smoothly by moving items between shops.
- Spreading the word and being the friendly face of Blue Cross, interacting with donors, shop teams, and customers.
The skills you need:
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable driving various routes within your region.
- Access to your own car or van.
- Some level of IT literacy or someone who can help you as we’ll need to do an online driver check before you can drive for us.
- Physically fit to lift and carry donations, including heavier items, and navigate stairs when necessary.
- Adaptability and willingness to be flexible so items are moved promptly when needed.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with shop teams and the public.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

This role can be flexible to suit your time commitments. As you will be using your own vehicle we will need to complete some licence, insurance, MOT and tax checks.
