We are looking for reliable volunteer cleaners to help with the smooth running of our busy Blue Cross locations. You would be helping to keep a professional, clean, tidy and well‑presented clinic areas, public areas and important spaces. While not dealing directly with the pets in our care you will still be part of the hustle and bustle of our busy location, helping the team by providing this crucial support and ultimately creating a great impression of the Blue Cross centre. Volunteer role: Housekeeping Support

Where you will be based: Centre

Why we want you: Our centres and hospitals are busy places with our main priority to look after the pets in our care. You would be helping to keep these areas clean and tidy, relieving pressure on the team, all whilst being in an animal environment and making a difference to the pets in our care. We would love you to join us and help us help more pets in need.

What you will be doing:

  • Cleaning various areas and corridors as required
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors
  • Washing down surfaces
  • Managing the animal laundry (if applicable)

  • The ability to work comfortably in a team or alone
  • A willingness and ability to learn and follow instructions quickly and accurately
