Hit the Road for a Good Cause: Become a Retail Driver Volunteer! Do you love pets and enjoy driving? Join us as a Retail Driver Volunteer and play a crucial role in our mission to help pets in need. Your role will involve collecting and delivering a variety of donated items, from clothing and books to furniture and household goods. By ensuring these items reach our shops safely, you’ll help keep them stocked with fantastic finds and directly support our work caring for sick, injured, and homeless pets.
What you will be doing
- Transporting donations between shops, ensuring items arrive safely and on time.
- Supporting shop operations by moving items and maintaining smooth workflows.
- Being the friendly face of Blue Cross, interacting with shop teams, donors and customers to spread the mission.
The skills you need
- Full UK driving licence and access to own car or van.
- Physical fitness to lift and carry donations, including heavier items, and navigate stairs.
- IT literacy to complete online driver checks.
- Adaptability and willingness to be flexible with item movements.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with shop teams and the public.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This role can be flexible to suit your time commitments. As you will be using your own vehicle we will need to complete licence, insurance, MOT and tax checks.
