The Blue Coat School joined the South Farnham Educational Trust and is the second secondary school alongside Brighton Hill School. As such, we are in a great position to be at the forefront of educational developments to provide the best possible school experience for our students. This is an exciting opportunity to join and lead our Design and Technology team at a time when the curriculum is being re-launched and refined. The Design and Technology Department is a popular curriculum area within our rapidly improving school. The Design and Technology Department is well-resourced and offers a range of disciplines at KS3 including Product Design, Textiles and Food. We currently offer GCSE Design and Technology alongside a course in Hospitality at KS4 and are looking for someone with the ability to offer Product Design.
At The Bluecoat School every lesson counts and we centre our practice in the classroom around quality first teaching. Expectations in lessons are high and tasks are ambitious for all, so you will need to be passionate about developing pedagogy to enable all students to make good progress.
