Lead and manage all testing and commissioning activities for industrial or infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless system integration, compliance, and successful project delivery from preparation to handover.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all testing and commissioning activities from preparation through final completion and handover to ensure project success.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise commissioning sequences, procedures, and execution strategies to meet project timelines.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, authorities, and internal teams to resolve T&C matters effectively.
  • Collaborate with process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams to ensure proper system integration.
  • Review and approve commissioning methodologies, schedules, technical submissions, and testing procedures for quality assurance.
  • Prepare and maintain all commissioning documentation, checklists, reports, and records accurately.
  • Lead pre-commissioning works, system start-up activities, process commissioning, and functional and performance testing to validate system readiness.
  • Chair technical discussions, coordination meetings, and troubleshooting sessions to resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, operational standards, regulatory guidelines, and project specifications throughout commissioning.
  • Support plant optimization and operational readiness to facilitate successful project delivery.

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Testing & Commissioning for industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience in wastewater or used water treatment plant projects.
  • Strong knowledge of sludge handling and treatment systems, anaerobic digestion or co-digestion systems.
  • Proven leadership in managing commissioning activities for large-scale treatment facilities, process plants, or industrial systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a site-based project environment with multiple interfacing disciplines and contractors.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Knowledge of cogeneration or energy recovery systems is an advantage.
  • Strong skills in coordination, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management.
