Responsibilities include all aspects of month-end management accounts and statutory reporting processes (UK GAAP & IFRS), consolidating results from multiple UK and US entities. Ensure all statutory reporting requirements are submitted on a timely basis, including CT, VAT & R&D tax credit submissions. Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors. Review balance sheet reconciliations for all group companies. Cash-flow reporting and treasury management, including client cash accounting funds. Account for and process group cost recharges. Lead and develop a small team of qualified staff. Initiate process and procedures improvements, leveraging technology (including AI) to scale the business efficiently. Collaborate with the Head of FP&A to guarantee high-quality, accurate data & insights. Work with the Group Financial Controller and senior leadership on delivery of ad-hoc projects. Utilise Xero accountancy software and Excel extensively.
Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) with prior experience in a similar group accounting role, or someone transitioning from public practice. Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel, and a strong interest in implementing new technology to improve processes and efficiency. Strong communication skills at all levels, with the ability to influence and inspire. Passion for accuracy and meeting deadlines. Highly efficient yet relaxed work style, comfortable in a friendly and collaborative culture. Self-awareness, able to identify personal development needs and strengths that contribute to business success. Right to work in the UK permanently without sponsorship, and commitment to working from office 3 days a week with flexibility for 2 days WFH.
Role Details: The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days flexible, located within easy walking distance of London Euston and Kings Cross railway stations.
