We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, interested in expanding their clinical skills and experience, to work within Mid Essex Community Mental Health provision for adults covering Chelmsford and Braintree and surrounding area.
While this is a Band 6 role we are happy to consider applications from experienced and motivated Band 5\’s who feel ready to take on the challenge of a Band 5-6 development post.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a small, friendly and skilled Occupational Therapy team to provide focused Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to clients through 1:1 and group work.
- Undertake OT assessments, care planning, delivering interventions through group and individual sessions, and the supervision and appraisal of junior staff.
- Collaborate within a wider multi-disciplinary team providing holistic support for clients with complex and enduring mental health needs requiring secondary level mental health care.
- The post holder will have access to professional supervision and leadership within the team.
- The base for this role is negotiable with the team working between the Gables in Braintree and the C&E Centre in Chelmsford.
- Engage in ongoing development and training opportunities to enhance practice.
Qualifications and Skills
- Band 6 Occupational Therapist; applications from experienced Band 5s seeking a Band 5-6 development post considered.
- Motivated to work within a Trust values Care, Learn and Empower.
- Willingness to participate in professional supervision and development opportunities.
