Bloomberg’s EMEA Supply Chain department is seeking a data-driven Logistics and Reverse Logistics professional to support the reliable movement, return and recovery of hardware, printed materials, event assets and promotional items across the region. Based at Bloomberg’s European headquarters in London, this is an analyst-led role with a practical operational remit. You will combine ownership of operational data, reporting and continuous improvement with hands-on support for inbound, outbound and reverse logistics activities. Working with internal teams, carriers, third-party logistics providers and technology partners, you will turn operational data, exceptions and stakeholder feedback into actions that improve service, cost, control, sustainability and customer experience. Accuracy, curiosity, adaptability, teamwork and a strong customer focus will be essential.
We’ll trust you to:
- Execute Operational & Reverse Logistics: Actively manage and support hands-on daily inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics workflows.
- Drive Operational Analytics: Collect, clean, validate, and analyze end-to-end logistics data to spot trends, mitigate risks, resolve bottlenecks, and uncover operational efficiency opportunities.
- Manage Escalations & Freight Tracking: Serve as an EMEA escalation point for internal teams and external logistics partners; proactively track and communicate freight delays, delivery risks, and operational updates.
- Partner on Tech & SAP Enhancements: Collaborate with local operational teams, global Business Intelligence, and SAP development teams (across AMER and APAC) to prioritise system enhancements and refine technical workflows.
- Maintain Vendor & Carrier Performance: Operationalise carrier SLAs, monitor 3PL/courier performance metrics, and assist with freight audit and reconciliation.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Standardise workflows by writing comprehensive SOPs, while supporting regional strategic initiatives such as sustainability (circular supply chain), business continuity planning, and cost optimisation.
You’ll need to have:
- 5+ years of experience within end-to-end supply chain, logistics, reverse logistics or process improvement roles.
- Proven experience driving process improvement, operational excellence, change management, and business transformation initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including logistics, warehousing, inventory management, planning, and service operations internationally.
- Demonstrated experience analysing operational performance and translating insights into clear business recommendations.
- Hands-on experience using SAP and reporting or business intelligence tools (e.g. SAP, BW, SAC, Power BI or similar) to analyze and present operational performance.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with cross-functional partners, regional stakeholders, and external suppliers.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage trade-offs between service levels, speed, operational risk, and transportation costs.
- Experience developing SOPs, controls, process documentation and operational guidance.
We'd love to see:
- Hands-on experience building custom dashboards in Power BI/SAC, or experience applying RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and Python/SQL to logistics data.
- Experience applying AI in a Supply Chain environment.
- Experience assisting with RFPs/RFQs, carrier contract evaluations, or external 3PL performance management.
- Working knowledge of trade compliance, import/export regulations and customs requirements across EMEA.
- Experience measuring transportation sustainability, carbon emissions or other environmental performance indicators.
If indicated, please note that years of experience are a guide; we will consider applications from all candidates who can demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
