We are recruiting an experienced Clinical Lead (RGN or RCN with adult experience) to provide senior clinical oversight across complex care packages in Herefordshire, the Midlands. This is a hands-on, community-based role supporting the assessment, onboarding, setup, and ongoing quality assurance of high-acuity complex care packages. You will work closely with MDT professionals, families, and internal teams to ensure care is safe, compliant, and person-centred. You will work from home when not in the field, with travel to the Leicester office approximately once per month for training, supervision, and leadership meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior clinical oversight of complex care packages in the community.
- Lead and support onboarding and mobilisation of new care packages, including clinical assessments, care planning, and competency requirements.
- Complete clinical reviews, quality assurance visits, and staff competency sign-offs.
- Deliver hands-on clinical training (e.g. PEG, tracheostomy, ventilation, suctioning).
- Identify, manage, and escalate clinical risks, incidents, and safeguarding concerns.
- Act as part of the senior on-call clinical response for packages in crisis or clinical deterioration.
- Provide urgent, short-term clinical support to stabilise situations, complete safety reviews, and implement immediate risk controls.
- Contribute to post-incident reviews and learning.
- Ensure care delivery meets CQC standards and clinical governance requirements.
- Work collaboratively with MDT professionals, commissioners, families, and internal teams.
About You β Essential Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RCN) with adult experience and active NMC registration.
- Strong background in complex care or community nursing.
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience.
- Full UK driving licence with own vehicle.
- Confident lone worker with excellent clinical judgement.
