Job Title Managing Director, Asset Allocation Overview Blackstone Credit and Insurance delivers investment management expertise to insurers, helping them meet long‑term policyholder obligations and drive shareholder value.
Responsibilities Build and manage a multi‑asset class investment solutions capability by collaborating with Blackstone’s portfolio managers to construct tailored product offerings for insurers globally.
Develop strong relationships with asset‑management teams across the platform to gain a deep understanding of Blackstone’s collective investment capabilities.
Establish and nurture relationships with key decision makers at insurance company clients.
Review and monitor investment performance, portfolio risk characteristics, and compliance with client investment policies and guidelines.
Help oversee the drafting of investment memos, presentations, and marketing materials for potential and existing clients on investment options, as well as for regulators and rating agencies on diligence requests.
Construct detailed financial models and valuation analyses.
Conduct insurance industry research and analysis.
Perform any additional assignments, duties or responsibilities as required by Blackstone in its sole discretion.
Qualifications 12+ years of professional experience, preferably in investment banking, insurance, or asset management.
Strong expertise managing and advising portfolios across public and private markets, including corporate and structured credit.
Deep understanding of regulatory, ALM, and risk considerations for insurers.
Strong accounting and financial modeling skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work well in a lean team environment.
Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good judgment, and a positive attitude.
