Blackstone's Summer Analyst Program is a 10 week in-person experience, offering participants extensive exposure across the firm. This program provides Summer Analysts with valuable guidance through mentorship, continuous feedback, technical and soft skill training, networking opportunities with professionals across the firm, and the unique chance to fully immerse themselves in Blackstone's culture.
Summer analysts will work as quantitative strategists on the BXCI Quant & Portfolio Analytics team. This team works alongside business units spanning BXCI (Liquid Credit, Private Credit, Infrastructure & Asset-Based Credit, Insurance, and the Office of the CIO), building analytics leveraged for multiple purposes including: calculating risk and values for financial positions (including securitized products); originating public and private loans; managing funds; highlighting portfolio trends and emergent risks; evaluating and pricing deals; supporting client analytical requests; researching companies and opportunities and streamlining activities across the division. The team takes a systematic, quantitative approach, with a goal of producing robust, transparent, and commercially effective tools and analytics. Summer analysts are expected to assume integral roles and produce real-world commercial impact. They will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and contribute meaningfully to the team's objectives.
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate must have:
- Strong modeling and mathematical skills
- A genuine interest in financial markets and private investment strategies
- Strong programming skills in any general-purpose programming language (i.e., C++, C#, Java, Python)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a lean team environment
- Strong work ethic
- Intellectual curiosity
- Good professional judgement
To be considered for the 2026 Summer Analyst Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or masters student
- Anticipated graduation date: Summer 2027
- Currently studying for a STEM degree with an interest in finance, or studying for a finance degree, with demonstrable technical skills
