JOB SUMMARY
The Role: Sous Chef
If you\’re passionate about cooking quality food, excellently executed then join our team that personifies our vision of being the favourite relaxed destination for people who enjoy life.
You will work to the highest standards and to the requirements of food safety regulations. You\’ll represent and communicate our values towards colleagues and customers with leadership, care and an inspired passion for great service in everything you do.
Using your proven skills and chef expertise, you assist the in delivering the best food, maintaining satisfactory cost control, efficient stock management and accurate paperwork & financial reporting.
Key Duties
Ensure that all dishes are prepared, cooked and plated by you and the kitchen team with care and perfection.
Ensure that every meal is consistently made to the highest quality but without pretention.
Assist the Head Chef and Senior Sous to create and develop innovative and delicious menu items, to be made by you with the support of a small team.
Inspire other kitchen staff to make sure we get everything just right.
Be conscientious in regards of the inventory of food supplies and equipment, and notify management of any shortages or issues.
Adhere to all pub policies as well as health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience to demonstrate they have the knowledge and the enthusiasm to deliver our vision at their particular level within the kitchen Team.
They will also:

Always go the extra yard to make things right.
Previous experience as a Sous / line chef in a similar role required
working 4 1/2 days out of 7, approximately 50 hrs per week mixture of day time and evening shifts to include weekends. Salary by-fortnightly on an hourly rate/Salary dependent on experience to be discussed at interview and share of gratuities also paid fortnightly.
