The Bishop Wand School is looking to appoint an inspirational Head of Faculty to lead teaching across Mathematics, Business, Economics and Travel departments. The ideal candidate will possess the vision to develop and implement an exciting and innovative Mathematics curriculum and promote a love of Maths amongst our students. They will need to have the leadership skills to inspire and lead all the other TLR holders within the faculty.
This is an exciting time for the faculty, who are a team of high-quality practitioners well-positioned to build on their current success and further strengthen outcomes over time. Our team has a drive to introduce new and modern projects with enthusiasm. Our GCSE Maths students attain significantly above the national average. Business studies is one of the largest GCSE options and BTEC tourism is also popular. Recruitment to A level Maths, Business Studies and Economics are all very strong.
We value enhancing the learning of our students through extracurricular activities and as a result students can attend a variety of Maths club and enter Maths competitions. We are looking for a Head of Faculty who has the interpersonal skills to lead a large group of teachers across a number of disciplines and is keen to help work with the senior team to ensure our students can 'Realise their God-given potential'.
