We are seeking a passionate Second of Maths Teacher to join our thriving school and deliver an engaging curriculum that makes a difference to the life choices of our students.

You will be joining a strong, stable and inspirational team where mathematical knowledge is prioritised and where we go beyond the national curriculum in different aspects of this subject. Whatever your career stage you will be supported to develop further mathematical knowledge and to enhance your teaching toolkit so that our students are able to understand the world around them and value mathematics as part of their lives.

As a standalone academy, we believe in our teachers being able to do the role they are employed to do, which is to deliver engaging lessons to our students. We therefore have an easy and structured behaviour system for our students and you to follow in lessons. After this, we have dedicated teams who intervene and leave you to continue with the job you love doing! We would be delighted to take you on a tour of the school and give you the opportunity to meet the department and answer any questions you may have.

Responsibilities:

  • Progress the Maths department to the next stage in its development and even greater successes
  • Assist the Head of Maths with leading and mentoring the team
  • Collaborate with the Head of Maths over learning to achieve a consistent and integrated methodology
  • Plan and deliver high quality and engaging lessons that will challenge and inspire our students
  • Encourage students to have high expectations of themselves and their behaviour
  • Be committed to the wider school community and development of students
  • Engage students in study at GCSE Level (A-Level is desirable)
  • Be a positive role model and supportive mentor to students, making a lasting impact on their lives
