An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Membership Assistant to join the Membership Team for The Birley Clubs. The Birley Clubs is a prestigious group of private members' clubs renowned for their exclusive and luxurious environments, exceptional service, and distinguished clientele. Reporting to the Membership Manager and Director, the Membership Secretary will have responsibility for supporting the Membership team as a point of contact for all membership enquiries of three of our high-profile Clubs within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Membership Team as the point of contact for all Membership enquiries relating to the club via phone, email, or letter
- Supporting in the management of all administration relating to club Waiting List, new Member elections and existing Member queries
- Answering of Membership phone and dealing with all enquiries appropriately, taking payments when required
- Responsible for all administration relating to applications including sending and tracking of forms, management of Waiting Lists, corresponding with applicants as required
- Managing applications
- Reporting, as required, on Waiting List figures and relevant data
- Running lists using Salesforce for monthly newsletters to Members
- Ordering of all stationery and print collateral, working with printers where necessary
- Supporting Membership Managers and Directors as required
- Attending Member events and support with guest lists
- Assisting Membership Director with expenses, meetings, scheduling team meetings, and ad hoc personal admin
- Assisting with Elections
- Monitoring and setting up Committee Memberships
Key Skills and Experience:
- Have previous experience working with private members’ clubs or within luxury sector is preferable.
- Excellent telephone manner
- Highly proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook, with Salesforce database experience being desirable
- Need to have an excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to multi-task and a team player
- Professional, discreet and remain calm under pressure
- Previous experience dealing with HNW individuals preferable
- Have a good understanding of the social layering relevant to private members’ clubs
