We are seeking an enthusiastic and charismatic Weekend DJ / Karaoke Host to energise our venue during weekend evenings. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for music, excellent crowd engagement skills, and the ability to create a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your DJ talents and interact with diverse audiences in a vibrant setting. The position is fully paid and perfect for individuals who thrive in social environments and enjoy entertaining others. Equipment is provided by the venue. A GigRealm account is required.
Responsibilities:
- Host karaoke sessions, encouraging participation and maintaining an engaging environment.
- Interact with guests, taking song requests, and fostering a friendly, inclusive atmosphere.
- Monitor the venue's environment to ensure we keep the customers entertained.
- Coordinate with venue staff to ensure smooth operation of events and handle any technical issues promptly.
- Promote upcoming events or themed nights to maximise guest participation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DJ or karaoke host is desirable but not essential; a strong passion for music and entertainment is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently.
- Knowledge of sound equipment operation and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Friendly, approachable personality with a professional attitude.
- Ability to work weekends 7pm till 1 am.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to entertainment venues.
