This boutique hotel has been given plenty of pizzazz by its experienced hotel owners. With a re-launched restaurant and exciting alfresco dining terrace, launched in Spring 2023, The Bird is entering a new chapter, focusing on repositioning itself as one of the go-to sun trap dining spots in Bath!

As Operations Manager, what you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Assist the General Manager in creating and delivering hotel business objectives
  • Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices on a continuous basis
  • Be relentless in ensuring the organisation's processes remain legally compliant
  • Ensure health and safety legislation is followed and recorded appropriately as and when required
  • Perform quality controls and monitor hotel KPIs
  • Live by the Kaleidoscope DNA while at work and ensure your team maintains standards every day
  • Constantly look for ways to make the operation more effective and efficient
  • Work to ensure the business remains compliant, efficient, and profitable
  • Be a visible, hands-on presence throughout your hotel, assisting team members and guests where required
  • Demonstrate outstanding organisation and communication skills
  • Liaise with central teams to ensure revenue capture is maximised through room rates and F&B pricing
  • Be confident in communicating effectively at all levels from ownership to management and team
