We are seeking a reliable and flexible Van Driver to join our team. This role is perfect for someone looking for occasional work, with varying hours depending on business needs. You will be responsible for delivering goods to our teaching locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining excellent customer service. Location: Wavertree, Liverpool

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collection & Delivery: Safely load, transport, and deliver a variety of goods to specified locations.
  • Route Planning: Efficiently plan and follow the best routes to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the vehicle (e.g., fuel levels, tire pressure, oil, etc.) and report any issues or maintenance needs.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide a friendly and professional service when interacting with customers, ensuring goods are delivered in a satisfactory condition.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and any necessary paperwork.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies regarding the safe transportation of goods.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License: Full UK driving license (or local equivalent), with no major endorsements. Insurance for business use is required.
  • Clean Driving Record: Proven record of safe driving.
  • Experience: Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is advantageous.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work on an ad-hoc basis, sometimes at short notice.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry heavy goods when required.
  • Customer Service Skills: Friendly, approachable, and able to communicate effectively. Knowledge of local routes and areas. Experience using GPS or route planning software. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

This is a casual role with no guaranteed hours, providing flexibility based on your availability and business demand. You will primarily work outdoors, operating a van in various weather conditions.
