We are seeking a new manager to manage a small 1-2 man bicycle shop with support from our other larger shops. You'd perform the majority of the repairs and oversee an assistant during busy times. You'd perform all the roles normally split across several people in a much larger store - so must be confident in tackling new tasks and challenges. The primary store is there for guidance to help with areas you need guidance. You'd be encouraged to bring some of your own character to the role to help create a welcoming feel in the shop. This role provides a lot of freedom to implement your own ideas, including focusing on preferred brands/categories.
The vacancy is open now for immediate start, but there is flexibility for a start date within July or August.
Duties:- Ensuring excellent customer service.
- Organise merchandising displays to promote products effectively and enhance visual appeal within the store.
- Maintain stock levels through inventory management, ordering supplies as needed.
- Assist with creating marketing initiatives to attract new customers.
- Execute repairs on customers' bikes.
This role demands a huge list of abilities. Most candidates will require help and guidance in one or more areas - whether it's mechanics, store management, marketing, store presentation and online presence. A strong candidate will have good capabilities in most areas. Candidates might have a strong customer service background while being a home mechanic, or a time served mechanic looking to progress to the next level in the bike industry. With training provided to fill in any gaps.
