About The Bigger Brand

The Bigger Brand is a growing marketing agency working with ambitious businesses across the UK. We specialise in creating strong brands, high-performing marketing campaigns and digital content that people actually want to look at.

We're looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our creative team and help us raise the standard of design across our client portfolio. This is a predominantly remote role, but you must be based in the UK and able to attend our Manchester office twice a month for team meetings, creative sessions and the occasional debate over whether the design really needs another font.

The Role

As our Graphic Designer, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality visual content across multiple brands. You'll work closely with our social media managers, videographers, editors, paid advertising team and wider marketing team to bring campaigns and ideas to life. We're looking for someone who understands that good design is more than making something look pretty. You should understand branding, visual hierarchy, audience, messaging and how creative work contributes to the overall marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design social media graphics and campaign assets
  • Create paid advertising creatives for Meta and Google campaigns
  • Develop and maintain brand identities and visual guidelines
  • Design brochures, flyers, posters and other print materials
  • Create graphics and visual assets for websites and landing pages
  • Design presentations, proposals and pitch materials
  • Create social media carousel designs and branded content
  • Work from creative briefs and turn ideas into polished concepts
  • Maintain consistency across multiple client brands
  • Collaborate with the wider creative and marketing team
  • Manage several projects and deadlines at the same time
  • Contribute ideas during creative sessions and campaign planning
  • Make amendments based on internal and client feedback
  • Occasionally rescue a design from someone who has discovered Canva for the first time

What We're Looking For

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality commercial design work
  • Excellent understanding of typography, layout, colour and visual hierarchy
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Experience designing for both digital and print
  • Strong understanding of branding and brand consistency
  • Ability to work across multiple brands with different visual identities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret a brief and develop your own creative direction
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced agency environment
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Based in the UK
  • Able to travel to Manchester twice a month
  • Bonus points if bad kerning genuinely bothers you.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working within a marketing or creative agency
  • Experience creating designs for social media campaigns
  • Experience designing paid advertising creatives
  • Experience with website or landing page design
  • Experience working with healthcare, dental or professional service brands
  • Knowledge of Figma
  • Basic understanding of motion graphics or video content would be beneficial
  • The ability to explain why something looks wrong without simply saying, "It just does"

Working Style

This is a hybrid role. The majority of your work can be completed remotely, however the team meets approximately twice per month at our Manchester office. These sessions are used for team meetings, creative workshops, campaign planning, training and collaboration. We care much more about the quality of your work, your ideas and your ability to deliver than whether your desk is located five metres away from ours every day.

How to Apply

Please send your CV and portfolio to: Your portfolio is a major part of the application, so please include examples that demonstrate your strongest branding, social media and commercial design work. If your portfolio is just 47 versions of the same logo on different mock-ups, we may have questions.
