London | Hybrid (2-3 days per week) We're ideally looking for someone who can attend our London office 2-3 days per week near Oxford Circus, although fully remote working may be considered if the home location is not commutable to London.

Finance Analyst - Commercial Finance !

Are you passionate about using data and insight to influence commercial decisions and drive business performance?

We're looking for a commercially minded Finance Analyst to play a key role in helping our brands make smarter decisions through meaningful analysis, reporting and financial insight.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys getting under the skin of performance data and partnering with stakeholders across Operations, Marketing and Finance.

You'll work closely with the Commercial Finance Director and key business leaders to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and deliver recommendations that have a real impact on profitability and growth.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Build and maintain site-level budgets across our brands, partnering with operational and finance teams to challenge assumptions and improve forecasting
  • Own core weekly and period reporting, delivering clear, actionable performance insights to senior stakeholders
  • Produce P&L analysis and ad hoc reporting to support commercial decision-making
  • Monitor labour costs and operational KPIs, identifying trends, risks and opportunities across the estate
  • Analyse food costs, margins and commodity inflation impact to support profitability improvements
  • Track discounting and promotional activity to identify leakage and ensure commercial effectiveness
  • Measure the ROI and commercial impact of promotions, marketing campaigns and loyalty initiatives
  • Evaluate guest behaviour and loyalty performance, assessing the value of retention and frequency-building activities
  • Support marketing investment decisions through insight-led analysis and performance measurement
  • Partner with delivery and aggregator teams to improve channel profitability and promotional performance
  • Own reporting and analysis for commercial trials, menu initiatives, pricing projects and new business opportunities
  • Develop financial models and ROI assessments for capital investment proposals and refurbishment projects
  • Challenge assumptions and provide data-driven recommendations that influence business decisions
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI and automation to enhance reporting, efficiency and insight generation

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with commercial awareness and a passion for turning data into action.

  • Experience in a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst or similar business-facing analytical role
  • Qualified by experience or studying towards a professional qualification such as CIMA
  • Experience working within hospitality, leisure, retail or another multi-site consumer-facing business
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to work confidently with large and complex datasets
  • Experience using BI and reporting tools such as Power BI or similar
  • Commercial understanding of key operational drivers, including labour costs, food costs and margin performance
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence challenging and influencing decision-makers
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting commercial projects, investment appraisals or business case development
  • Curious about emerging technologies and how AI can enhance finance, reporting and analysis

Desirable

  • Experience working within multi-brand hospitality, leisure or retail businesses
  • Knowledge of hospitality systems such as Fourth, Crunch Time, Market Man or similar
  • Understanding of loyalty, marketing or guest insight analytics
  • Experience working within a 4/5/4 retail calendar environment
  • Exposure to pricing analysis, promotional effectiveness modelling or commercial trials
  • Interest in automation, AI-enabled analytics and continuous improvement
