We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team at Las Iguanas. If you enjoy creating fresh, vibrant dishes in a fast‑paced environment and take pride in delivering great food every time, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to Las Iguanas' recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
  • Ensure all food is prepared efficiently during busy service periods.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation.
  • Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and inventory management.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to provide an excellent guest experience.
  • Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.
  • Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and help train new team members where required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Chef, Line Chef, or Commis Chef in a busy restaurant.
  • A passion for fresh food and high‑quality cooking.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations (Level 2 Food Hygiene is desirable).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
