We areseeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and compassionate First Aid& Student Pastoral Support Manager to join our dedicated team at TheBicester School.

This is arewarding and varied role, combining responsibility for student pastoralsupport with the provision of first aid and medical care across the school.Working closely with school leaders, pastoral colleagues, parents/carers andexternal agencies, you will play a key role in supporting students' wellbeing,behaviour, attendance and engagement with learning.

Thesuccessful applicant will be able to work effectively in a busy environment, behighly organised and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.You will be calm under pressure, able to build positive relationships withyoung people and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning.

The roleincludes:

  • Providing pastoral support and intervention forstudents.
  • Supporting positive behaviour, attendance andstudent wellbeing.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for parents andcarers regarding pastoral matters.
  • Providing first aid and medical support tostudents, staff and visitors.
  • Maintaining medical records, healthcare plansand medication procedures.
  • Liaising with colleagues, families and externalagencies to support student needs.
  • Providing administrative support relating tostudent welfare and medical provision.
  • SupportingReception and front of house functions as required, including end of dayreception cover.

Previousexperience of working with children and young people is essential. Experiencewithin a school environment and a First Aid at Work qualification would beadvantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
