The Bewdley School is a comprehensive 11 to 18 school serving the town of Bewdley and its surroundings. The majority of students come from affluent backgrounds with a lower than national average number attracting Pupil Premium. Despite this, the intake is truly comprehensive and the school caters for all abilities and aptitudes. Student behaviour is good and teachers are able to deliver lessons in a calm and supportive environment.

Required as soon as possible. We are seeking a specialist Cover Supervisor with the skills and experience to support our cover team. This may include some specialist support in a subject area, dependent on the successful candidate’s skills and experience. There must also be willingness to undertake Health and Safety training to ensure that all legislation is complied with. The successful candidate will enjoy working with young people, as they will be responsible for classes in the absence of a teacher. The Cover Supervisor will be expected to manage the behaviour of students whilst they are completing work set by the teacher, and a confident classroom presence is essential.

A good general standard of education is also required (applicants must have minimum qualifications of GCSE grade C, or equivalent, in Maths, English & Science) and an interest in a career in the education sector is desirable. The role involves an 8.30am to 3.30pm working day, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch break.
