Assistant Manager Requirements:

  • Previous supervisory experience within Hospitality
  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for staff development and upskilling
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Innovative, trustworthy and impartial
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is essential.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of guest experience at a high level with consistency through every shift
  • Overall responsibility for the food and beverage
  • Achieving the KPI's / performance metrics for the ongoing financial success of the business
  • HR responsibilities including recruitment and development of staff
  • Stock controls
  • Drive business through the delivery of consistent guest experiences
  • Opening and closing of the business

As our Assistant Manager, you will help to create a special atmosphere for guests. You will still be out there on the floor, right at the heart of the action - but you’ll be more than just ‘one of the team’. While the General Manager drives the business, it is you that manages the day-to-day running of the business… You’ll need to take ownership of problems, and you’ll live by a mantra of ‘always doing the right thing’ – sometimes needing to think outside the box. Supporting the General Manager is a great way to learn the business side of running a pub. It is a chance to develop your skills and gain the knowledge you need to progress your career even further.
