The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Yard Man / Yard Operative to join a busy builders' merchant yard.
This is a full-time position offering long-term opportunities and the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30 - 17:00
- 45 hours per week (excluding breaks)
Pay Rate
- £12.80 per hour
Duties
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving and organising stock within the yard
- Serving trade and retail customers
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck
- Assisting with general yard duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a builders' merchant yard
- Good product knowledge of building materials
- Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, hardworking, and not afraid to get hands dirty
- Excellent attitude and team-working skills
- Full-time hours
- Monday to Friday working pattern
