The Best Connection Sheffield are currently recruiting for a number of Class 1 HGV Drivers for one of our clients based in the Worksop area. As Class 1 HGV Driver you will be working over 5 days. During peak, you would work 5 out of 6 days (Monday to Saturday). You will be trunking from Depot to Depot over 8/9 hour days. Minimal handball involved, if any.
Available shifts:
- Days - £18.04 - £18.38
- Nights - £21.58 (between 2am and 6am)
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering Depot to Depot.
- Following daily delivery schedules.
- Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure road-worthiness.
- Ensure safe and compliant driving in accordance with UK road laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding any issues or delays.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) licence.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digi Tacho card.
- Excellent time keeping and communication skills.
- Must have held licence and had at least 2 years Class 1 driving experience.
- Start times are from 4am onwards for days and from 3pm onwards until 10pm for nights.
