The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client for an experienced Service Advisor to join their busy and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with a well-established business, with the opportunity to become permanent following a successful temporary period.
The Role
As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact between customers and the workshop, ensuring an exceptional level of customer service while coordinating vehicle servicing and repair work. You'll play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring work is scheduled efficiently.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor within the motor industry
- Experience using Kerridge (DMS) is essential
- Practical experience within an aftersales environment
- Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and face-to-face
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Good administrative, literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong listening skills with the ability to ask diagnostic questions based on customer-reported faults
- Experience using a Dealer Management System (DMS), including workshop loading and job management
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and manage all service-related enquiries
- Book vehicles in for servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Liaise with workshop technicians and customers throughout the repair process
- Provide accurate estimates for servicing and repair work
- Keep customers updated on vehicle progress and any additional work required
- Ensure all paperwork and system records are completed accurately
- Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining company standards
