The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Material Handler / Recycling Operative based in Witney.

Pay Rate: £14.87 per hour

Hours: Thursday to Monday, 07:45am - 17:15pm

Location: Witney

Contract: Full-time ongoing position

Are you an experienced Material Handler looking for your next opportunity? Do you have a valid Material Handler qualification and experience operating plant machinery? If so, we would love to hear from you.

As a Material Handler / Recycling Operative, you will play an important role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the site. You will be responsible for operating mobile plant machinery to move and manage waste materials, while ensuring all health, safety and environmental procedures are followed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating mobile plant machinery safely and efficiently
  • Moving and sorting waste materials into the correct waste streams
  • Supporting the smooth running of the Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC)
  • Assisting members of the public with waste disposal queries and providing excellent customer service
  • Ensuring the site is kept safe, clean and organised
  • Following all site safety procedures and environmental regulations

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • A valid Material Handler qualification
  • Experience operating plant machinery (essential)
  • A strong understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
