Accounts & Bookkeeper (Full-Time)
Pay: From £14.60 per hour
Hours: 34 hours per week (flexible)
Location: Office-based
We are recruiting for an experienced and self-sufficient Accounts & Bookkeeper to join an established business on a full-time basis.
This role would suit someone who is confident working independently and capable of managing the day-to-day accounts function from start to finish, reporting directly to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing payroll and pension administration
- Managing PAYE submissions and HMRC payments
- Raising sales invoices and maintaining the sales ledger
- Managing purchase ledger activities
- Credit control and chasing outstanding payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll
- Liaising with external accountants when required
Essential Requirements
- Proven bookkeeping and accounts experience
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll
- Confident managing accounts processes independently
- Experience with invoicing, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, VAT, PAYE and pensions
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
