HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers - Temp to Perm

£18.00 per hour £20.00 per hour after 48 hours
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers
with our global logistics and supply chain company that operates both freight management and contract logistics. This is an ongoing opportunity with excellent earning potential and long-term prospects.
About the Role
- Typical start times will be 04:00 - 06:00, leaning more toward 04:00.
- Double manning on occasion
- Deliveries made with tail lift where drivers deliver & collect equal amount, shuffling of the load required
- Deliveries to sites with side tipping
- Deliveries to NDCs
- Occasional class 2 work
- Deliveries to sites with restricted access, experience is preferred
- Drivers required to comply with GXO training & regulations
- 2 - 3 drops a day
- CNG vehicles, gassing / refuel must be done off site
- Minimum 8-hour shifts
- Days and nights available
- Monday - Friday
Pay
£18.00 per hour £20.00 per hour after 48 hours
What We're Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
- Commitment to shifts/rotas
- Ability to work safely alone
- Time management and punctuality
- A good understanding of UK drivers' hours
