Overview
We are currently recruiting an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor for our busy client based in Glasgow City Centre.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established team in a hands-on supervisory role offering consistent hours, career progression, and immediate starts.
You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, leading a team of operatives, and ensuring operational targets are met. The role requires someone confident in managing people, handling attendance and sickness, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervising daily warehouse operations
- Leading and motivating a team of warehouse operatives
- Monitoring productivity, quality, and performance targets
- Managing attendance, sickness, and timekeeping
- Providing training and support to new and existing staff
- Handling stock control and supporting with audits
- Ensuring health & safety and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Acting as the point of contact for shift issues or escalations
Shift Pattern
- Rotating every 2 weeks between:
- Day Shift:
- 06:30 β 14:00
- 08:00 β 15:30
- Back Shift:
- 15:30 β 23:00
Flexibility to work both shifts is essential.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Confident in managing staff issues such as sickness and absence
- Good working knowledge of warehouse processes and H&S standards
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example
