The Best Connection are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day operations of our client's warehouse facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that plays a vital role in supporting healthcare services across the UK.
Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, you will help ensure stock is received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately, maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Identifying and reporting damaged or missing items
- Storing products safely and accurately
- Picking and packing customer orders for dispatch
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Assisting with stock transfers and warehouse organisation
- Completing stock counts and inventory checks
- Updating stock information using warehouse systems
- Refurbishing products where required
- Maintaining accurate paperwork and records
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and organised
- Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year's warehouse experience
- Good understanding of warehouse processes and stock control
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Commitment to health and safety standards
Desirable
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence
- Experience using warehouse management or inventory systems
- Previous experience within logistics, distribution, or healthcare environments
Candidates without an FLT licence may still be considered depending on experience.
