The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to work within a busy warehouse and yard environment.
The successful Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading lorries, checking paperwork, safely operating forklift trucks, and ensuring pallets are stored in the correct areas.

Responsibilities: Load and unload lorries and containers safely and efficiently.
Operate counterbalance forklift trucks to move and store pallets and materials.
Check delivery and transfer paperwork accurately.
Follow instructions regarding the correct storage and location of pallets and materials.
Complete stock transfer sheets correctly and in a timely manner.
Check stock regularly and report or correct any discrepancies in quantities.
Ensure materials are appropriately segregated, clearly identified and easy to locate.
Maintain the warehouse and yard to a high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping, including sweeping, hosing down and reorganising areas when required.
Carry out safety and quality checks to the required standard and within the required timescales.
Work safely at all times within a busy warehouse and yard environment.
Communicate courteously and professionally with colleagues, external drivers and delivery personnel.
