Markets Operative - Walsall Borough - Immediate Start
£13.69 per hour | Temporary Contract | 3 Months with Potential to Extend
We are recruiting for Markets Operatives on behalf of our well established client. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to support the day-to-day running, maintenance and presentation of markets across the Walsall Borough.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role requiring candidates who are comfortable carrying out physical work in all weather conditions.
Location: Various market sites across Walsall Borough
Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour
Contract: Temporary, 3 months with potential to extend
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday
- Early starts between 4:00am and 6:00am
- Approximately 6-7 hours per day
- Split shifts and unpaid lunch break
- Weekly rotas
Duties Include:
- Setting up and dismantling market stalls
- Litter picking and site cleaning
- Moving bins and maintaining market areas
- Basic grounds maintenance and weeding
- Supporting traders and members of the public
- Assisting with market operations and infrastructure upkeep
- Gritting and salting sites during winter conditions
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own vehicle with Business Insurance
- Previous manual labour experience
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and flexible approach
- Must be aged 18+
