We are looking for a skilled Class 2 Driver with HIAB experience to join our construction team based in Aldridge, Walsall. If you are an experienced driver who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a close-knit team, this could be the ideal role for you.
Pay Rate: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
About the Role: This is a varied position that combines professional driving with on-site installation work. You will be transporting equipment and assisting with the installation of street furniture - including bus shelters and digital advertising screens - at sites across the UK. You will work within a small, dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality projects.
- Nationwide travel required
- Overnight stays when needed (accommodation & reasonable expenses provided)
- Full-time, permanent PAYE role (with an initial trial period)
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving and operating HGV Class 2 vehicles, complying with all relevant transport legislation
- Safe loading/unloading and securing of materials and equipment
- Supporting site teams with installations, removals, and groundwork
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Maintaining a professional, safe approach on all sites
Requirements:
Essential:
- Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph card
- CSCS card
- Previous experience in a construction or highways environment
- Flexibility to work away from home when required
- Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work as part of a team
- Physically fit for manual site duties
Highly Desirable:
- HIAB / ALLMI certification (ideally hook trained)
- NRSWA accreditation
