The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Van Driver / Transport Planner to join our client based in Hounslow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with transport/logistics experience looking for a stable, full‑time role with long‑term potential.
£14.91 - £15.87 per hour (depending on experience) Monday to Friday | 09:00 start
Driver Requirements:- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Ability to work closely with different departments
- Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service
- Good knowledge of London roads from a driver's perspective
- Previous experience in transport and logistics
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
- Allocate and manage driver collections and deliveries throughout the day
- Prepare and motivate drivers for daily operations
- Handle workplace issues and ensure they are resolved efficiently
- Respond to queries and phone calls in a timely manner
- Support drivers and riders with key information (routes, consignments, road closures, etc.)
- Provide shift cover when required
- Complete end‑of‑day procedures, ensuring all jobs are completed or correctly recorded
- Minimum 1 year of Central London driving experience (Essential)
- Minimum 1 year of transport controlling experience (Essential)
- Full UK driving licence (required)
- Weekly pay (PAYE only)
- Ongoing temp‑to‑perm opportunity
