Van Driver - Temp to Perm - Part Time (Reddish)

Location: Reddish

Pay: £13.00 per hour (rising to £13.50 after 12 weeks)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 12:00pm

Job Type: Temp to Perm (12 weeks via The Best Connection, then permanent)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Driver to join a well-established wholesale food company based in Reddish. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate, working through The Best Connection for 12 weeks before moving into a permanent role with the company.

About the Role

You will be delivering chilled and ambient food products to a variety of businesses across the UK – including 5-star hotels, restaurants, and hospitality venues. As the face of the company during deliveries, professionalism and excellent customer service are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Multi-drop deliveries across the UK
  • Driving a refrigerated van - monitoring and maintaining correct temperature settings
  • Interacting with high-profile clients in a professional and polite manner
  • Maintaining delivery schedules and ensuring accuracy
  • Representing the company with a smart appearance and positive attitude

Requirements

  • Previous experience in refrigerated van driving
  • Understanding of van temperature controls and procedures if temperatures drop
  • Experience with multi-drop deliveries
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Smart appearance and strong communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Schedule & Pay

  • Part-time: Monday to Thursday, 6am - 12pm
  • £13.00 per hour (paid weekly)
  • After 12 weeks, pay increases to £13.50 per hour and you\'ll be employed directly
  • Potential for overtime or extra hours in the future
