We are currently looking for a Collection and Delivery Driver in the Hove area. If you are a team player, looking for a rewarding role then please read on.
You will be responsible for the delivery, installation and collection of community healthcare equipment within people's homes and associated locations such as care homes, hospitals and schools across East Sussex. This equipment ranges from crutches to walking frames to more complex equipment e.g. hoists and beds. Full training will be given, after which you will be involved in the servicing and repair of equipment as well as being able to carry out adaptations in customers' homes such as installation of grab rails.
There is a chance for this role to become permanent after 12 weeks for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous relevant experience within a fast-paced environment is preferable; however, full training will be provided.
- A full UK driving licence, held for a minimum of two years.
- Previous van driving experience is preferable.
- You must be able to load and unload goods, some of which may be heavy.
- Excellent customer service and professional communication skills are essential.
- Due to the adaptations side of the role, basic DIY skills would be advantageous.
1 in 4 weekend rota & emergency on-call rota so flexibility is required.
