We are currently recruiting for an experienced Property Maintenance Operative to join a busy and growing property services team covering locations across Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, reliable and flexible individual with strong general maintenance skills who enjoys variety and working independently.
Job Details:
- Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across properties throughout Cornwall
- Working across North, South, East and West Cornwall, including central areas
- Responding to maintenance requests and completing jobs to a high standard
- Working closely with colleagues, contractors, suppliers and property owners
- Providing a professional and reliable property maintenance service
Pay Rate:
Β£17.00 per hour
Working Pattern:
Flexible / On-Call
The role will primarily be on an as-needed, on-call basis rather than fixed daily hours. Flexibility is therefore essential, as work will vary depending on property requirements and maintenance requests.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as travel throughout Cornwall will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- General property maintenance and repairs
- Repairing doors, windows, locks, walls and fixtures
- Basic plumbing repairs, including taps, toilets and blocked drains
- Basic electrical tasks where suitably qualified
- Painting, decorating, filling and general touch-ups
- Outdoor maintenance including gutters, patios, lawns and fencing
- Identifying and reporting larger maintenance issues
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service

- Good knowledge of property repairs and maintenance
- Confident using hand and power tools
