The Best Connection are currently recruiting forExperienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers for a leading transport operation.
This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity offering guaranteed hours, consistent Monday-to-Friday work and straightforward container trunking with no handballing.
The Role
- Container trunking work.
- Monday to Friday.
- Start times between 16:00 and 18:00.
- No handballing.
- Guaranteed hours and consistent work.
- Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidates.
- Professional transport operation with ongoing work available.
Pay & Earnings
- Average £816 per week for the first 50 hours.
- Minimum 10 hour's pay per shift.
- If you finish a shift in under 10 hours, you will still receive 10 hour's pay.
- Hours worked over 10 per day paid at £21.88 per hour.
- Weekend work paid at £21.88 per hour.
- £50 weekly meal allowance (£10 per shift).
- Paid breaks.
Additional Payments
- £10 extra per shift when operating a curtain-sider.
- £11.25 extra per ADR load.
Driver Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 2 year's HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
- A professional attitude and strong commitment to safety.
- The ability to successfully complete the company's recruitment and assessment process.
Driving Assessment
The driving assessment will include:
- Coupling and uncoupling.
- Full vehicle walkaround.
- Vehicle safety checks.
- On-road driving assessment.
- Driving on dual carriageways and A-roads.
Candidates will also be required to successfully complete a formal interview.
