The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established client based in Tamworth for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver to join their growing team on a temp to perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV driver looking for consistent weekday work with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful trial period.
The Role
As a Class 1 (C+E) Driver, you will be responsible for completing trunking operations between depots and distribution centres. Duties will include:
- Driving a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and efficiently
- Trunking between depots and distribution centres
- Completing trailer swaps
- No handballing required
- No loading or unloading involved
- Completing daily vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
- Ensuring compliance with driver's hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Providing a professional and reliable service
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Minimum 2 year's commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driver's hours and WTD regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
