The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver
We are looking for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our client's busy distribution operation. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with the potential to become permanent following a successful trial period.
The role involves delivering fresh food products to commercial customers, with full training provided.
The Role
As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out multi-drop deliveries to businesses, ensuring products are delivered safely, professionally, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-drop deliveries of fresh food products
- Delivering to businesses across the region
- Completing approximately 5-10 drops per day
- Conducting daily vehicle checks
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Providing excellent customer service
- Adhering to all driver hours and road transport regulations
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 6 months' experience driving a 7.5T vehicle
- Valid CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Valid C1 (7.5T) Licence or Category B licence obtained before 1997
- Clean driving licence preferred
- Experience with chilled or fresh food deliveries beneficial but not essential
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused attitude
Working Pattern
- PM shifts starting at approximately 13:00
- Any 5 days out of 7
- Minimum 5 shifts per week
- Temp to Permanent opportunity for the right candidate
Pay Rates
First 12 Weeks
- £15.00 per hour (06:00 - 22:00)
- £16.15 per hour (Before 06:00 and after 22:00)
After 12 Weeks
- £15.50 per hour (06:00 - 22:00)
- £16.65 per hour (Before 06:00 and after 22:00)
