ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages receiving, inventory control and shipping functions.
- Manages packing, packaging, and labelling functions.
- Performs inventory stock takes and maintains accurate inventory levels and locations of parts stocked.
- Trains new employees and guides them to bring their knowledge and awareness about the processes and procedures applicable to the employee's job function.
- Prepares reports about various store transfers, new inventory lots, and overages, shortages, and discrepancies for each transfer and new inventory lot received and inspected by inventory control personnel.
- Manages warehouse facilities including off-site storage and equipment and recommends changes in allocation of space.
- Remains cognizant of all ISO 9001:2000, AS9100, FAA AC 00-56, EASA, FAA, IATA, US Dept. of Commerce, US Dept. of State, US Dept. of Treasury, US Customs and Border Protection, and DOT regulatory requirements, and additional quality requirements for specific customers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to prioritise assignments and tasks of immediate requirements, and of the medium and longer term.
- An efficient and systematic approach to the assignments and tasks so that they are fully completed to the company's standards, and to schedule.
- Ability to evaluate personnel's performance and set objectives for improvement of job performance, training requirements (on the job and formal) and to attain additional skills to enhance the employee's value to the organisation.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as weights, and proportions. (Multiplication, Division, & Percentages required).
- Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
ISO/QA and AASS WORK INSTRUCTIONS ESSENTIAL TO THIS JOB
- All ISO Operating Procedures.
- Inventory data handling and input into appropriate database using a computer terminal.
- OP 2-1, Quality System Documentation.
- Quantum work instructions related to stock management (Receiving, making changes, shipping).
- Dangerous goods handling and documentation.
- Aircraft part documentation requirements per ISO 9001:2000, FAA AC 00-56A and contractual requirements for specific customers.
