Our client, a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business based in Swavesey, is currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join their Coatings Department on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist company working with high-value components for industries including aerospace and medical, offering long-term career prospects and outstanding permanent benefits.
The Role
Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of coatings production activities while ensuring strict quality and safety standards are maintained. Duties will include:
- Surface preparation including cleaning, blasting and masking/stopping off
- Loading production work using jigs and fixtures
- Preparing coating chambers and testing production loads
- Packing and dispatching finished products
- Carrying out equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and standards
- Following all company operating procedures and health & safety guidelines
Attention to detail is essential.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Comfortable working shifts, including night shifts
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Desirable but not essential:
- Experience within coatings or engineering production
- Forklift licence
- Basic IT skills
Pay & Benefits
£12.71 per hour. Additional £14 premium paid for night shifts works out to £14.46p/h on 8hr shift. Temp-to-perm opportunity with excellent long-term prospects. Once permanent, benefits include:
