About the Role
The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join a busy transport operation based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Working as part of the transport team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of overnight operations, supporting drivers, customers, and the wider transport function.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle driver and customer queries in a professional and timely manner
- Organise and update driver routes to support efficient transport operations
- Monitor transport activities and provide administrative support to the transport team
- Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure operational requirements are met
- Prepare and complete a thorough handover for the day shift administrator
- Support the wider transport operation with general administration duties as required
- Ensure all documentation and operational information is processed accurately and on time
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within transport, logistics, or administration (not essential but ideal)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Comfortable prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment
