- Class 1 Drivers to join our busy
DHL site based in Stoke . This is a long-term, ongoing opportunity with immediate starts available.
We offer flexible working patterns to suit your availability - whether you're looking for just
1 day per week or up to 5 days per week ,
Monday to Friday . Both temporary and temp-to-perm opportunities are available.
Newly passed Class 1 drivers will also be considered.
About the role
- Completing store deliveries with occasional collections. (2 - 4 drops per shift)
- Deliveries involve unloading palletised stock using an electric pump truck via a tail lift.
- Store colleagues will take deliveries from the tail lift into the store.
- Some vehicles are double-deck trailers, although previous experience operating these is not essential.
- Start times are available between 01:00am and 08:00am
- Afternoons from 12:00 onwards are also available
Assessment Process
- Driving assessment
- Theory test
- Drugs and alcohol test
- Buddy day prior to assessment is available to get a feel for if the role is right for you
Pay Rates
- Hours worked between 22:00-06:00 -
- £21.24 per hour
- Hours worked between 06:00-16:00 -
- £17.70 per hour
- Hours worked between 16:00-22:00 -
- £19.47 per hour
- Bank Holiday -
- £26.55 per hour
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- CPC & Digital Tachograph card
- Newly passed drivers welcome to apply
- Experience with double-deck trailers preferred but not essential
- Confident using pallet trucks
- Good level of physical fitness
