We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver based in Cheadle. This is a temp to permanent position offering long-term stability and progression for the right candidate.
The role involves 8-10 collections per day only - no deliveries, providing a structured and straightforward workload.
Hours:
- 6:00am start time
- Approx. 8-10 hours per day
- Monday to Friday only
Pay: £16.00 per hour
Key Duties:
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Completing 8-10 scheduled collections per shift
- Ensuring all paperwork and collection documentation is completed accurately
- Safely loading, securing, and handling goods where required
- Following planned routes and adhering to driving regulations and Working Time Directive rules
- Providing a professional, reliable service at all collection points
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting any issues promptly
- Complying with all health & safety and company procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous Class 2 driving experience is essential
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude
