We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced HIAB Driver (Category C) to work in the South Shields area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HIAB Driver (Category C) to secure temporary work with potential for ongoing assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate lorry-mounted cranes (HIAB) as a HIAB Driver (Category C) to load and unload heavy materials such as aggregates, timber, and bricks.
- Ensure safe handling and secure transportation of materials.
- Carry out deliveries to construction sites, merchants, and customer locations.
- Perform daily vehicle and equipment safety checks.
- Comply with all relevant health & safety regulations and transport legislation as a HIAB Driver (Category C).
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customers and site staff.
Requirements:
- Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- HIAB certification (with remote or hook attachment experience preferred).
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous experience delivering building materials is advantageous.
- Strong awareness of site safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
